LAWS & RULES
The rules applicable to the Cemetery Oversight Act are currently being drafted. They are expected
to be published on April 9, 2010, in the Illinois Register. On that date, the 45-day public comment
period officially begins. The official publication of the Illinois Register is produced once a week by
the Secretary of State and is available with a subscription by contacting the Index Department at 217-
782-7017. The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules maintains a web site where you can view
proposed administrative rules: http://www.ilga.gov/commission/jcar/ and click on the Illinois
Register link.
